Projects I Have Worked On

Location Groups

Location Groups

This was a fairly large project and thus came with several challenges. Because there were many user stories for this feature, one of the main challenges was figuring out the best way to organize the content. This project helped me developed my research and organization skills and gave me valuable experiences working with screenshots.

Adding a New Job

Adding a New Job

This was a complex project as part of a newly designed UI in the Hire software. Adding a new job is one of the primary functions of this software, and the UI changes caused this process to change dramatically. Thus, I had to rewrite the entire documentation for this process. Another challenging factor in this project was the number of steps required to successfully add a new job. My goal was to create a comprehensive yet simple guide for adding a new job.

InEight Progress 19.9 Release Notes

InEight Progress 19.9 Release Notes

For my internship at InEight, I was also tasked with producing the release notes for InEight Progress. This version of Progress included several new features and improvements that I was tasked with documenting using MadCap Flare. This project also pushed me to grow and gave me practical experience using MadCap Flare and working with subject-matter experts.

Playing Electro Ball

Playing Electro Ball

This project was for an assignment in a technical communication course that I completed at UNO as part of my graduate certificate in technical coommunication. For this assignment, I was tasked with writing a procedure in the context of a dystopian novel that the class had been assigned to read at the beginning of the semester. "Electro Ball" is a sport referenced in the novel, but the rules and gameplay were unspecified. Thus, I created my own rules and gameplay and developed a set of instructrions on how to play Electro Ball. I enjoyed working on this project because it allowed me to use my imagination and practice my instructional writing skills.
